An author, a Clamper, and a friend, Johnny clearly had an affection for the history, characters, and odd corners of Nevada that are too easily forgotten. People like Johnny don’t simply record local history; they become part of it themselves.

He will be missed, but he left something good behind: his words, his stories, and the memories of the people who had the pleasure of knowing him.
