Humbug Roofied (aka Tom) has decreed that the 2026 Julia C Bulette Summer Doins will be held at Humbug Flats on the top of Mount Davidson (just up the hill from Virginia City) on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of June, CY 6031. Google map and link to Doins site is below.

The schedule of events and relevant levies follow.

Early site campers will be allowed to fight over spots on Friday the 26th of June. You can show up before that if you ignore directions and feel like you’re super special. All red shirts camping on site MUST take heed of the fact that nobody knows what the road will be like this year, but should be passable by most vehicles if you’re careful. If you get stuck and block the pathway you will be unceremoniously pushed into a ditch, and heckled by all passersby.

The Doins will “officially start” at the Moran building at 34 N B Street on Saturday morning.

Door and Bar will open at 8:57 am sharp. If the JCB Flag is flying, the joint is open for Red Shirts.

Supplicant PBCs MUST be surrendered to Grand Imperturbable Hangman David ‘Recon’ McNeely starting when the doors open and completing no later than 10:33 am. After that their money will be accepted, they might be able to participate, but they will not receive any paperwork or certifications unless a written waiver is provided by the NGH certifying their inability to follow directions properly. After “intake activities” the event will move to the Humbug Flats area camp site around 1:45 pm where the real fun begins. We will also be formally acknowledging the Old Corner Bar as an Official ECV-JCB Watering Hole before heading to Humbug Flats.

All paperwork must be completed at the Moran Building. Sponsors, MAKE SURE YOUR PBC WRITES LEGIBLY OR THEIR SKIN (if they make it) WILL BE FILLED IN WITH ANY NAME THE RECORDER FEELS LIKE WRITING DOWN.

Your Day of Fun will cost you one of the following fees…

• $50 – Red Shirts
• $75* – PBCs

* PLUS a letter from your Mom or Widder saying you can try if you’re under 25

Per GC Rules Poor Blind Candidates must:

• Be at least 25 years of age (21 if you have a relative who is already a Clamper).
• Have a sponsor that is a current member in good standing of E Clampus Vitus.
• Be of good character.
• Have an interest in history.
• Have a good sense of humor.
• Be a willing participant in pre-initiation events and the initiation ritual.
• Plan on participating as an active member of E Clampus Vitus.
