JCB Outhouse Race Challenge!
THE CHALLENGE IS REISSUED. HEAR YE, BRETHREN OF E CLAMPUS VITUS!
The word has traveled beyond the Comstock. The tale has been told in halls and watering holes throughout Clampdom. Julia C. Bulette #1864 took to C Street, claimed the people’s favor on both days, and sent our worthy brethren of #1797 home with a head-to-head defeat.
Now the privy has been polished, the wheels are greased, and the challenge is issued anew. Who among you thinks you can take the crown?
Last year we issued the challenge — and one Chapter had the gumption to answer the call. The prestigious El Viceroy Marqués De Branciforte Chapter #1797 rolled onto C Street to meet us head-to-head (They’ve been competing for years by the way so this is bluster on our part). We were honored by their entry and welcomed them with the hospitality only the first Nevada chapter of E Campus Vitus can truly present.
In the end, we met on the track and while we admire them for answering the challenge, we answered with a victory.
So now, on the 3rd and 4th of October, 2026, we cast the challenge wider. We summon EVERY CHAPTER of our Ancient and Honorable Order to Virginia City for that grandest test of engineering, endurance, questionable judgment, and Clamper ingenuity:

Last year we issued a challenge. This year, we defend the throne. Drag forth your stoutest brethren. Hammer together your swiftest shitter. Grease the wheels, tighten the bolts, and bring whatever magnificent contraption your Chapter has the courage to call an outhouse.
Then meet Julia C. Bulette #1864 on C Street. Bring your honor. Bring your revelry. BRING YOUR OUTHOUSE.
For two glorious days, the Comstock shall decide which Chapter possesses the speed, craftsmanship, courage, and complete lack of good sense required to claim glory in the most distinguished motorsport ever conducted without a motor.
