JCB Patio & Boardwalk Improvements

Brothers, work on improving the Moran Building keeps moving forward.

Over the last few days two significant improvement projects have been started; repairs to the boardwalk in front of the building, and improvements to the back patio area.

Bob Working On The Boardwalk…

For the front boardwalk area many of the boards are very old and weathered, buckling and cracking and making walking around a hazard. Some of the bad boards aren’t even in front of the Moran building, but we still use the area so they were replaced.

Bob Thomasson, Clamper of the Year for 2024, with a little help from Dusty, got the project started. JCB thanks him for taking the initiative and getting things going. Replacing and repairing warped and broken boards improves the usability, and safety, of the boardwalk.

In the rear area, aka the patio, significant improvements have been started that will make it much safer and much more usable. Several brothers helped get this project started.

JCB would like to thank Tom, Jason, Bruce, and Brian, better know as Roofied, Mayor, Budders, and Pothole for their efforts. Gary, aka Dusty, has wanted to get this project going for years, and now the team is getting it done.

This involved hauling and moving 5 cubic yards of road base (almost 7 tons), multiple RR ties, and bench wood. The guys also removed a lot of old plywood and other dilapidated boards and rubbish from the back patio area.

Stay tuned for info on more projects you can help with if you can manage to get your shit together.

Satisfactory!
