JUNK 6019
NGH “Beans & Wienies” Bob has chosen Jarbidge as our destination for the annual JUNK trip on August 15, 16, & 17. It may be a long stretch to get there but the views are stunning and the area is rich in history. If you have never been to this area of Nevada, this is a must see.
I have attached text from Google Maps to “Big Bend Campgrounds, Nevada” with directions from Reno. We will actually be camping across the road from the campgrounds in a grove of trees at 41°45’23.30″ N. 115°42’29.67″ W. We will be close to Sunflower Reservoir for those of you using paper maps.
If you get lost, look for tiny signs on beer carton flaps to point the way.
The altitude of the campsite is around 7000′, bring warmth.
It is advised to refuel in Elko.
Bring a CB for chatter.
Someone please beat Kenny in the cooking contest.
